How Tripvia works
A walkthrough of every part of the marketplace — signing up, searching and booking a stay, becoming a vendor, and getting verified.
Getting started
Create an account. Go to Register and enter your name, email, and a password. Every account starts as a traveler — you can add vendor access to the same account later without creating a second one.
Confirm your email. After registering you’ll land on a verify screen and get a confirmation email — click the link there to activate your account. Didn’t get it? The verify page has a resend button.
Log in. Use Login with the same email and password any time. Forgot your password? The login page links to a reset flow that emails you a secure link.
For travelers
Search. Use the search box on the homepage or go straight to Search. Filter by property type, dates, guests, price, star rating, and amenities — every filter is a plain URL parameter, so a search is always a link you can bookmark or share.
Book. Open a listing, pick a room type or package, and choose your dates. You’ll need to be signed in to complete a booking — if you’re not, checkout will prompt you to register or log in first and bring you right back to where you left off.
Pay. Checkout hands you off to Stripe, Paystack, or Flutterwave depending on what the vendor accepts — whichever fits where you are. Your booking confirms automatically once the payment succeeds.
Manage your trips. Every booking shows up under My bookings in your account, with its current status and total.
For vendors
Become a vendor. From your account, choose “Become a vendor” (or go to Vendor onboarding) and fill in your business details — legal name, country, contact info, and what you’re listing. This turns your existing account into a vendor owner; you don’t need a separate login.
Add a property. From your vendor dashboard, add a new property with its location, photos, amenities, and room types or rate calendar. A listing stays in draft until you publish it, so you can take your time setting it up.
Manage bookings & rates. Incoming bookings, your rate calendar, and guest reviews are all on the vendor dashboard — everything for your properties in one place.
Get verified. A verified badge tells travelers your business, license, and property have been checked by our team. Submit your business registration, operational license, a government- issued ID, a video of the property, and a proof-of-address document from Verification in your dashboard. An admin reviews everything and either approves it or tells you what to fix.
Advertise. Beyond your regular listing, you can pay to promote it — a homepage banner, a sidebar card, a featured events slot, or a sponsored spot in search results — from Advertise. It’s a separate paid service, not tied to any subscription — buy a placement, pay, and once an admin approves your creative it goes live for the dates you picked.
Trust & payments
How payments work. Tripvia never stores your card details — checkout goes directly to Stripe, Paystack, or Flutterwave, whichever the vendor has set up, and Tripvia only receives a confirmation once the payment succeeds or fails.
What the verified badge means. A green “Verified” badge on a listing means that vendor’s business registration, operating license, owner ID, property video, and address proof have all been reviewed and approved by a Tripvia admin — not every vendor has gone through this yet, so its absence doesn’t necessarily mean anything is wrong, just that verification hasn’t happened (or hasn’t been completed) for that listing.
